Bobby Phillips

The more we collaborate, the more culture we create. We're all still discovering our voices and I'm no different. I've been a video editor since childhood and edited for television. Grand Rapids has been a fertile soil for artistic ventures in print, stage, curation, and music over the past 11 years. My workshops in improvisation have transformed students in dive bars, comedy clubs, open fields, and ayahuasca centers. The skill we hone is to experience on stage: to feel and express our own feelings, and help others to feel theirs.

I've been a traveler for many years and have lived and worked in many cities across the country and in Europe and South America. The great lakes region is special to me and I look forward to continued collaboration with poets, storytellers, performers, painters, illustrators, fiber artists, musicians, creators of all kinds right here near the coast of Lake Michigan which will always be my home.
